October Meeting Minutes

We hope this finds all of you staying safe and keeping well during this challenging year. Due to the pandemic, we are holding our meetings in Zoom until it becomes safe to resume physical meetings. Our first meeting of the year was held on October 6, 2020. Under a goal-setting grant from the National CSTA, several members won pizzas that Domino’s delivered during the meeting. The chapter set three goals which are to (1) increase active membership, (2) expand professional development options, and (3) increase our chapter’s web presence and social media. Casey Rock from CyberSec Labs made the meeting’s invited presentation about building the cybersecurity professionals of tomorrow (to follow up, send email to rockc@udel.edu). Then the meeting split into breakout rooms devoted to K-5, 6-8, 9-12, and higher ed. The next meeting’s special topic is the Hour of Code.
